~~ In Loving Memory ~~

Paul L. Workman, 92, died Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2006, at Manor Care North. He was the husband of Edith M. (Derry) Workman, to whom he was married for 67 years. The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Austin Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with his pastor, the Rev. Robert E. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Masonic Service at 1:15 p.m. Mr. Workman was born January 25, 1914, in Orbinsonia. He was the son of the late Isaac W. and Laurabelle (Hallabaugh) Workman. He had been employed as a Certified Public Accountant by Ernst & Young Accountants, Harrisburg, for many years prior to his retirement. Mr. Workman was a member of Grace UCC in York, York Lodge F&AM 266, York Gethsemane #21 Knights Templar, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Harrisburg, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon York Forrest, and the Zembo Shrine Harrisburg. He was a lifetime member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the former Young Business Mens Association, where he was the past treasurer. He was a graduate of Orbinsonia High School in 1932, and was the class valedictorian. He was also a graduate of Thompson Business School in York. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Emily Westrick of Dallastown; two granddaughters, Kelley A. Westrick and her husband, Shahn Tower of Seattle, Wash., and Elin A. Westrick and her husband, Joshua Romalis of West Africa; and one great-granddaughter, Lana Towers. Mr. Workman was predeceased by four brothers; and four sisters. Mr. Workman's family has suggested that for those desiring memorial contributions in his name may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, 225 N. Hartley St., York. PA.
