~~ In Loving Memory ~~

Jennie (Weaver) Workman, 94, of 183 Cold Spring Road, Six Mile Run, died at 7 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2004, at her home.  Born July 28,1909, in Everett. she was the daughter of the late Henry Sr. and Agnes (McElwee) Weaver. She was united in marriage to Marlin W. Workman Dec. 1, 1940. Mr. Workman preceded her in death in 1963.  She is survived by a son, Dennis Workman, and his wife, Jean, of Shepherdstown, W.Va., and two grandchildren, Creighton Workman and lan Workman, both of Shepherdstown, W.Va.   A sister, Hope Weaver of Six Mile Run, and a nephew, John Ankney of Tacoma, Wash., survive.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel, Charilla and Agnes, and two brothers, John and Henry.  Mrs. Workman was a member of  the Six Mile Run Church of God and had held various offices within the church.  She was a 1927 graduate of Broad Top Township High School.  Mrs. Workman served as the postmaster for the United States Postal Service in Six Mile Run for 15 years, retiring in 1978. She was also a homemaker.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 9, at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home, Broad Top City, with Pastor Stanley Cordell officiating. Interment will be made in Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run.
